Well, Masq and d'H have written the definitive summaries of Tahoe, and Jane, Elle, and others have posted great pictures, so just a couple of thoughts from me--mostly how great it was to be with everyone. Best memories: Gold Country wineries, the restaurant dinner, sing-along, and quiet chats in V-3--knitting lessons from Lynne, "technique" lessons from Elle, and CW and Anom's quiet music. So great to have a chance to talk with all of you, the ones I'd met before and the ones I met for the first time.

Hope next time I can stay longer.

Meanwhile, on another topic, I finally got a good picture of my sons, so here they are:

Daniel is the one sitting down--standing, he's several inches taller than Theo.

What is the etiquette on commenting on people's cute offspring when it's not the "ookit his wee toesies" kind of cute? How faux-maternal ought I try to sound to be polite?

...I would find it a riot if you *did* comment on their wee toesis or similar...!

To adoring moms, you can comment anyway you choose! Faux-maternal not required.

Wow, you done good, Mom. Congratulations! They are fine looking men. (Couldn't get two that looked more different, though, hee!)

;o)

I think they're pretty great, too--but can't take much credit, they turned out well on their own, I think. They are pretty different, though I see more similarities now than I did when they were kids.

I hope you can spend more time with us next time too!

You have very handsome sons...
