Glass Books of the Dream Eaters by Gordon Dahlquist is worth all the pages. It's long but it moves! and the concept, that somehow our unconscious can be extracted and permanent captured in a physical item...too real. Victorian but not precious. I find myself remembering it whenever I get too absorbed in one of these glass screen, like this one in front of me.
